User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars So fast and usefull
I own a Canon Digital Rebel XTI and this card is just perfect for this camera.

4 Stars great so far
so far the card has worked great! I have not maxed out the card and tried to put on the computer, however the amount of pictures that I have put on the card, downloaded without a problem. The cost was a great saving and the shipping time was wonderful! Will def. use them again and thank you, as I used this card when I went to Bonaire!

5 Stars Kingston CF Card
I have used this card in my Canon SLR 40D and it works fast. You can pay a lot more for a CF card but this Kingston card works great at a lesser price.

5 Stars Exelente producto
Es el tipo de producto que esperaba de Kingston lo recomiendo, r

Canon LiDE100 Color Image Scanner 2923B002

September 30, 2009 by DSLR Camera Review · Leave a Comment

Canon LiDE100 Color Image Scanner 2923B002

Every computer user should have a scanner. The Canon CanoScan LiDE100 Color Image Scanner is simple, high-performance scanning at its best. Four easy buttons automate the entire process, and the Auto Scan mode makes it even easier: It actually detects the type of original you’re scanning and automatically adjusts settings for the optimal results, then scans and saves the image. Your results will amaze you, with color dpi resolution up to 2400×4800. You can also create fabulous 19200×19200 software-enhanced (extrapolated) scans. The Advanced Z-Lid enables clear, complete scans even of thick originals such as notebooks. Built-in retouching technology further enhances your final images with automatic corrections for dust and scratches, fading, graininess and backlighting. And to reduce the number of wires in your work area, one simple cable provides power and a USB 2.0 High-Speed connection. Scanning Mode - Color 48-bit internal / 48 or 24-bit external - Grayscale 16-bit input / 8-bit external Compatibility - Windows Vista, Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS X v.10.3.9 - 10.5.x4 Dimensions - Width 9.9 x Depth 14.6 x Height 1.6 Weight - 3.5 pounds

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works Great and 4 at a time is AWESOME!
I bought this with the intention of scanning old photos to jpg files. It works great! The software is just ok. But the greatest feature is that you can scan four pictures at once. It makes projects like mine a breeze. I can also see myself using this for other things.

Great product at a great price!

5 Stars Works great
Unit is powered by USB alone and no power adapter which is a plus for portability. I find the OCR very accurate and is a real value for the money.

5 Stars Great scanner for generic everyday jobs
I needed a scanner to scan an occasional document, receipt, or magazine page. Image quality needed to be decent and other than that I wanted a device that just did the job and didn’t need a lot of hand-holding.

So far I’m satisfied to impressed. Take it out of the box, plug in the USB cable (big plus it doesn’t add yet another power adapter to my setup), Windows Vista automatically detects and installs the driver and you’re ready to go. I didn’t even look at the software CD which comes with the scanner for the first week. The OS integrated driver is sufficient for the generic scans.

It’s nice and small and lightweight, has a small locking slider for the lid on the bottom. So when I’m not scanning I simply unplug the USB port and it’s easily stored on the shelf and not taking up valuable space.

The scan speed and image quality is good enough for my needs. I’m sure some folks may have a more detailed critique, but that wasn’t what I’m looking for.

After eventually installing the software that came with it, the copy button on the front works fine. Push it and the software will scan and then send the result to the printer. Not a high volume copying solution, but if one makes a copy at home once in a blue moon and hates the trip to Kinko’s this fits in well.

So if you’re looking for a simple and reasonably priced scanning solution for occasional work, this is a great choice.

4 Stars Maybe not professional, but good enough.
The overall impression I have of this product is a favorable one.

It doesn’t scan with blinding speed, but it’s been several years since I owned a scanner. I’m not familiar with what they can do or how fast they scan. But the scans seem very clear, I love the option to scan several photos at once. A real time saver. Very lightweight and portable, only a usb cable to hook up. Don’t see a need to buy another one for any reason. Maybe, maybe, if I were into professional photography, and I had to make a living at it, but someone would have to prove the results to me.

Good product, good price, good quality

3 Stars Canon LiDE100
Bought this scanner to replace my failed Epson Perfection 1650. I like its compact size and quietness, and find the operating speed close to that of the 1650. The software is ok, and scanner operation is as convenient as that of the 1650, but there is less flexibility to allow altering color satuation, hue, etc. I found image sharpness disappointingly soft, and color saturation less than that of the original photo being copied. The overall effect is a somewhat faded, hazy image. Tried downloading and installing a fresh driver, but that didn’t change this characteristic. After selecting USE SCANNER DRIVER on the operating panel, I was able to make selections that improved the image quality somewhat, but it is still not up to the performance of my previous scanner. Turning off the softening mask makes very little improvement. For me this scanner does not live up to previous glowing user reviews that helped decide this purchase.

SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player Black

September 30, 2009 by DSLR Camera Review · Leave a Comment

SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player Black

The colorful Sansa Clip is a tiny MP3 player that boasts an array of cool features, as well as distinctively big sound for its small size. Perfect for the fitness buff or traveler, the compact Sansa Clip comes with a fashionable clip for wearing anywhere.

Other features include:

  • FM radio
  • Microphone
  • Long-lasting rechargeable battery
  • Bright screen for exceptionally easy navigation of tunes

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Better than ishuffle
I am using this product more than a month.

Pros:

. It is very small and lightweight.

. The clipping is nice. You can clip and forget.

. The display in such a small device is awesome. The display is the feature of this device which distinguishes itself from ishuffle as I usually want to listen to specific album or artist.

. You are free to choose any software you want and need not stich to itunes which i really dislike.

. Price is cheaper than ishuffle.

. Radio and voice-recorder works just fine.

. 15 hours of battery time.

Cons:

. Non yet.

4 Stars works fine
I just use this for audiobooks while bikeriding; it works fine, and is a pleasure to use. My only complaint is that it only charges from PC; and somehow neither the charging nor the download work from my mac or my XP machine; so I have to use my Vista computer, even to charge it (which is a pain since the Vista computer is rarely on). I have not researched these incompatabilies, so there may be a simple solution.

1 Star Junk
I had this for just over a week and it just quit working. The screen display shows battery charging when connected to the computer but is blank and can’t be turned on when I disconnect. I liked it well enough while it worked. It’s small and fairly easy to use. I will try another brand next time.

2 Stars Good product…..however, not for exercising
Bought this product six months ago and used it while jogging. Apparently sweat got into the on/off switch and shorted out the unit. Now it only works when connected to an USB cable (while charging or connected to the computer), as soon as you disconnect the USB cable the unit shuts down.

I was very happy with the performance of the Sansa Clip and I was going to replace it with another one, until I read other reviews with the same problems.

All in all a very good product….just don’t use it for sports or exercising.

4 Stars Good Item
The product is in general good. I would prefer that you browse the folders as in the computer ( you have to select artist or album or song or “some kind of category” ). On the other hand product does the job, good sound, small, nice, easy to use.
