My brother, Will, and I in Japan, mid-80s. A photo slideshow.

So these images are from before the advent of digital camcorders and cameras. Armed with a few rolls of Fuji film, and a Canon AE-1P 35mm SLR, Will and I captured what seemed reasonable to us during our two weeks together in Japan. Of course, today, I'd have captured not a couple hundred photos, but several thousand. My, my how things have changed. Anyway, these images were captured well before I knew how to use a camera...and I truly regret missing so many things. I have zero photos of Osaka and Tokyo downtown. How could I miss Namba City...one of my favorite places in the world? Ugh. Well, if you love things Japanese, some of these photos might appeal to you. Of special interest is the time we spent on Miyakajima, a volcanic island an overnight ferry ride away from Tokyo. I understand it has since been evacuated.
